In some cases we also include specialty rooftop dormer additions Unlike other companies, we create brand new plans based on your homes exact dimensions. There is only one way to get your project completed and we start and finish your project the right way from the very beginning. Your home addition add a level needs to be measured properly. We also need to factor in the existing chimney ( if it remains) as well as the existing staircase.
We then create your new add a level floor plan based around the number of bedrooms and bathrooms needed. This entire floor plan evolves around your new hallway. The main item to note is that we handle the entire process from beginning to end. If you own a cape cod, more than likely your home already has a 2nd floor structure in place that will be able to handle the weight of the new full add a level. Unlike a ranch style home which needs a new floor system in place, cape cods already have a 2×8 or 2×10 2nd floor floor system. Once we remove that original roof and upstairs walls, we immediatly start building the new top floor.
