Shower Body Spray Configurations When you are remodeling an entire home, there is a lot to consider especially when it comes to your shower or tub body sprays. With so many options, as a builder I can usually guide my customers based on the budget they have in mind. However you don’t need a big budget to have a functioning tub or shower spray configuration.
Homeowners are requesting larger showers and with a larger area, 1 shower head just doesn’t work out. Its not uncommon to have multiple shower body spray configurations. You want to make sure that with a large shower area, your sprays can reach not just one area.
What Do I Recommend?
When focusing on the standard bathroom, of coarse the very least, is the standard single wall shower head. However most of our projects will include a wall shower head as well as a ceiling rain head. Another simple variation is a wall spray head as well as a wall mount hand held. The wall mount hand held connects to a wall mounted bar. This bar allows you to also use the hand held as a stationary body spray when resting in position.
The additional rain head or wall mount hand held shower spray configurations make showering a far more pleasurable experience.
Master Shower Shower Body Spray Configurations
The largest shower in the home goes in the master bathroom. Here are a few upgrades to consider.
With most master showers measuring 6’x5’ or so, we have been installing dual zone his / her shower spray configurations. Starting with the water control valves, you may want to consider separate controls that regulate the water temperature. This will allow you to have separate shower heads / wall mount hand held sprays as well as separate rain heads.
If you are on a budget, you can save by purchasing mutli lever shower valves that allow you to control multiple shower fixtures with one valve. This is a great way to save on your master or standard shower and or tub spray configurations.
