New Jersey Home Remodeling Project

Are you thinking about a New Jersey home remodeling project? To make your home remodel stand out, we will discuss some finish trim techniques to include on your Major Home Remodel.

Planning ahead as your home remodeling project is being built will save you tons of grief. Often times, my customers know exactly how they want their homes finished look to be. Other times, customers can’t envision what the finished home remodel will look like. After the build is complete, the last thing a homeowner wants to say is ” we should have done this differently”. Here we will discuss some ideas regarding finish trim techniques to apply to your home remodeling project.

Mouldings – Home Remodeling Project

Incorporating additional moulding packages into your home remodeling project is a no brainer. Why are contractors still installing the basic door/window and base trim. It makes no sense. You can make your home shine simply by installing larger mouldings. These larger mouldings will replace the old style smaller trim. Installing a 6″ base trim instead of a 3 1/4″ traditional style base makes each and every room start to stand out. The detail throughout increases.

Crown Moulding

If some portion of your home remodeling project doesn’t include crown moulding, you are missing out. Start with a 4 1/2″ decorative crown moulding. The very least, install this in your entryway and main hall. There is a richness about the finish look. Yet, some contractors won’t install the crown mouldings. If the installer isn’t experienced, it can be very time consuming. However the complements you will receive will be endless.

If you received a Basic Bid Proposal from Pangione Developers Inc stating the inclusion of our Bonus Trim Package, all of the above trim techniques are included in one form or another.

Below is a 10′ Master Tray Ceiling. You can see the trim detail that we created for this young family to enjoy. We have double rows of crown moulding. In the center we installed  double 1 5/8″ trim outlining the tray.
